Releasing on 10/31/2026 is "Shot At The Speed of Sound - The Photography of Naomi Petersen", a photo and life story book created by her brother, Christopher Petersen, and published by Sumerian Books. This hard cover, 12x12, high quality book will showcase some of Naomi's most iconic images, artwork, poems and transcriptions taken directly from her personal journals throughout the 80s & 90s. THE PUNK ROCK MUSEUM IN LAS VEGAS

Located in Las Vegas, The Punk Rock Museum features several of Naomi's photos which encapsulate the legends of punk, such as HR performing with Bad Brains, The Circle Jerks with Flea, Fear with Flea, Scream with Dave Grohl, and her own iconic self-portrait displayed prominently in the main lobby area.

THE ARCHIVE OF CONTEMPORARY MUSIC'S "FROM HER TO ETERNITY" EXHIBIT

The Archive of Contemporary Music celebrates the contribution of women to music, artfully curated by founders Courtney Love and Julie Panebianco. Their past "From Her To Eternity" outdoor exhibits in Chicago & Norway honored 47 female photographers including Naomi Petersen, with more plans to showcase in major cities around the globe.

HR OF BAD BRAINS BY PUNKZLES & NAOMI

This exclusive collaboration with Punkzles produced an exciting punk puzzle based on Naomi's photos of HR, the legendary singer of Bad Brains. "WE GOT THAT PMA" honors the band's mantra of projecting a "Positive Mental Attitude".

KURT COBAIN BY SHEPARD FAIREY / OBEY

Shepard Fairey of Obey Giant created a fantastic lithograph of Kurt Cobain based on Naomi's photograph of early Nirvana in April 1990. Her striking image of the band was taken outside of the famous 9:30 Club in Washington DC where she worked for several years. A year later Dave Grohl joined the band and the band exploded around the world upon the launch of Nevermind. Christopher Petersen met Shepard at the L.A. premiere of the film Desolation Center, and 1 year later this art piece was released.

DAVE GROHL PROJECTS

Since Naomi Petersen was close friends of legendary D.C. hardcore punk band Scream since 1983, she was the natural choice to shoot the band again in 1986. They had just acquired their hot new drummer, a fresh faced 17-year old Dave Grohl. Naomi shot Scream dozens of times in both L.A. and D.C., until he eventually left the group in 1990 to join Nirvana. Subsequently, being arguably the best portfolio of a young Dave which exists, he and his team have generously licensed over 50 of Naomi’s photos to appear in films & televised series such as From Cradle To Stage, What Drives Us, Foo Fighters: Back and Forth, and even for his mother Virginia Grohl’s book From Cradle To Stage – Stories from the Mothers Who Rocked and Raised Rock Stars. We are very thankful for his support of Naomi’s work over the past 12 years!
